DD-214 in hand and I'm gonna party like it's 1998

If you're an off-the-street recruit, most likely they admin separate you from the service and you get a DD-214 with an RE-4 code on it, which is a pretty shitty thing to have on your resume.

If you're prior enlisted without a break in service, probably the same thing.

Why? Are you asking for a friend?

If it's two weeks before boot camp and your pipes aren't quite clean yet, your recruiter might swish your sample around, read the test strip, frown, then ask you to pee again.

That's about it for leeway. Anything more rigorous than that and it's essentially an autosep. Not worth even being near people that are smoking the devil's lettuce in case it shows up.

Bonus points for subject line! Not sure what else you would have put, but there it is I suppose.

What would happen if a candidate were to fail the urinalysis test at OCS
You would go to NJP, which would find you in violation of article 92 and 112, and then an ADSEP board. The board will determine if there was basis for the COs decision and would determine if you get retained, an Honorable, General, OTH, or some other category for having fewer than 6 mo of service. What type of discharge you get is more based on the personal values of the people sitting the board than anything else. All except the honorable would affect your future employment opportunities.

Very very likely the board finds basis and then you get the boot, it just depends on whether they believe you deserve to have to report this on civilian job applications. If you win the lottery they can find no basis and retain you, which amazingly I've seen happen, although not at OCS specifically.
