Just informed I was moved up from an Oct class to Aug. Selected from the May SWO board, and Age Critical (Nov Birthday). Anyone else scheduled for this class?

Got the call on Wednesday I am getting put in this class up date. They originally told me August 27th. August 6th does just fine for me though. Gets me off my ship sooner and off towards my new life and adventure.

So if you guys haven't heard about it before, USAA offers a "new officer" low interest rate loan (2.99%) for up to $25,000. You just have to apply for it and then show proof of your orders and you have 5 years to pay it off. It's good for consolidating debt, investing... etc.

My DIVO told me about it. May be something I check into later. You can apply for it now.

Navy Federal has the same type of loan for up to $32,000 with 1.25% interest. Seems like a better deal.

That loan is only offered to Naval Cadets in the Academy.

Got my final select letter last week. I will be in the August 6th class. Selected for IP currently an IT1. Seems there will be a few of us enlisted in this class.
