UAVs, not just an Air Force gig anymore

Facebook had one of their Aquila UAV's crash back in June. Here is what they look like:

Proving that everyone is getting on board the UAV bandwagon the an F-15E shot down a 'pro-regime' UAV over Syria last week and ISIS is using them to attack allied troops in Iraq and Syria.

Notwithstanding that's not what the term "begging the question" actually means (it doesn't mean "raise the question" or "which leads me to wonder..."), there have been much more bizarre kill markings put on Strike Eagles, so I'm sure they'll figure out something appropriate.

Here are a couple from one of my trips to OEF:

In this jet, the JTAC called down the thunder on a herd of cows where a squirter was hiding out (and what was drawn below and to the right was....censored....):

And on this jet, we see the results of a jet that broke from its tie-downs during a big sandstorm and took out a light-all on the ramp:

I didn't want to be a buzzkill and point that out...so just waited for the Air Force to do it.
