Fully Qualified 1815
The FY16 IDC DCO board caused a lot of folks to probably question what exactly the board is looking for in an applicant. The feedback from recruiters and processors may not always be informative, but here's the program authorization underpinning requirements Information Warfare 116x/181x designators. Those in a hurry could safely skip to page 2 (Work and Leadership Experience)

Looking at the doc attached it is dated April 2015, but signed on last 2Aug2015. I'm assuming it is the most current then.....? Can anyone confirm this?

If it makes you feel any better anyone less with a 2.8 really had no chance anyway, one of the IWC boards that happened several years ago the community had NRC cut everyone with a GPA less than 3.0 out and give them a pro N

Thanks for the info. The March 2016 board had a 2.82 selected so there's a chance, that's all I need. At the moment, I will apply to what I do qualify for and improve my gpa once when I start my masters.

Given your age might as well give it a shot, but be aware that those were STEM degree picks, non-STEM need to be highly competitive given the large numbers of non-STEM that apply.

Understood, as a current member in the IWC how much is prior service weighed compared to a 3.0+ stem degree applicant who has no prior experience/service?

It depends from board to board, but the number of those picked sub 3.0 are minimal, just do what you can and hope for the best, also look at LDO

That person probably had a damn good reason behind the GPA.

Thanks, that is the plan. I do plan to apply for LDO as well.

I'm sure everyone has a good reason. I just need to ensure every other requirement I submit will show that I am worthy of selection.
