Learning has occurred. From my time spent out in the region I never envisioned Iran and Russia working together to the extent they are. I've seen them share the same airspace together before, and with us, but never saw them working together.

The US, Russia and Iran having the same goals- President Reagan must be rolling over in his grave.
 
The video looks like stock with some real stuff with the Ali-Cats. Those sticks of what appears to be CBUs dropped, as said before, from the top of the world are very fishy.
 
Also, this isn't a Blackjack, Backfire, Bear fight. Seems more like Fencers and newer Sukioes. Tac air.
 
Maybe they're going to start carpet bombing. If they're really being as indiscriminate as we think, might as well bring a platform that can bring a lot of ordnance to the fight. I have no idea (and don't want to speculate) as to whether their big wing bombers can deliver PGMs, but that doesn't sound like such a bad idea in a permissive environment where CDE is out the window.

Turkey’s news agency Dogan repeats reports that Turkmen commanders have stated that their forces shot both Russian pilots while they were parachuting down, and that they have the bodies. It's one thing shooting them down, but shooting them while they are parachuting is beyond fucked up. Captured pilots are valuable for intel and as bargaining chips, killing them shows a complete lack of strategic understanding. I hope Putin retaliates.

The Turkish Air Force shot them down, rebels reportedly shot the pilots as they descended.
