November 2013 Board/ Possible AUG/SEPT Rolling Boards

This thread is for discussion, advice, information, et cetera on the next SNA/SNFO/SWO boards that are coming after the board which just convened this month.

The next board scheduled on paper or "hard" board has a deadline of 6 November 2013 and is not scheduled to convene until December. However, NavyOffRec, both of the OSO's to whom I've spoken, and Naval Recruiting Command say the currently published schedule is subject to change and is listed as only a DRAFT. I have heard the recruiting goals for SNA/SNFO are similar to last year, but would like confirmation on that. If anyone hears about an August/September board, it would be cool to get the gouge on that.

Personally, I signed off on everything and turned in my last document this week. My OSO aims to submit me ASAP in preparation for an August board she views as likely.

Thanks for getting a thread started. I am submitting to the next board as well. As to when it will take place, I cannot say. My OR seems confident it will be soon, as in August or September. However, he does not have a solid date yet. I imagine we will know after the results for the July board are released.

Hey guys, I just got my Non-Select for SNA/SNFO from the past July 15 board. I will retaking the ASTB and updating my packet for the next board and/or rolling board. My current stats are OAR: 47, 6/7/6, but will re-post as soon as I take the test again. Good luck everyone!

Sounds good, everyone. All my documents are in, I've signed off on tattoos and fraternization and whatnot, and I hear I should be submitted tomorrow or Friday for whatever boards may come.

Yeah, this year's initial board schedule looks pretty similar to last year's initial board schedule: http://recruitingcommand.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/FY-13-Pro-Board-Schedule-by-Community.pdf They started out with two boards listed and ended up having an extra board convene on March 4, three months after the December board convened, and another extra board in April. Hopefully we're lucky and get an extra board that convenes in September. NavyOffRec tells me Pilot/NFO/SWO boards can be added or removed at-will, so the possibility exists.

My recruiter mentioned there might be a board convening in September. In any case, I am all set. This will be my first and hopefully my last.

Just retook my ASTB Tue and went up from a 49-5/6/5 to a 56-6/7/6 whichs isnt much but better then before. I recommend anyone that has lower than a 50 to retake just incase. Most people that got picked up had high 50's with 6's and 7's for SNFO & SNA.

Congrats man any improvement is great. I will be retaking the test sometime at the end of this month.
