And just to reattack, on the off chance that the OP is reading all these inputs:
I don't care that you're not a party hound or that you're a cheapass. That's your choice. Nor do I care that you're arrogant and clueless - that's the natural state of most SNAs, and most of us are, I believe, justifiably embarassed at how arrogant and clueless we were when we first strapped on our flyin' boots.
Your mistake is in not realizing how small and connected this business is. I invite you to imagine meeting your new XO or sitting down with an IP in the TRACOM and beginning the discussion with them saying, "Oh wait...are you that asshole with the blog?"
Reputation will always preceed you in Naval Aviation...always. Don't believe me? Ask how many folks around here have sat down with a CO/XO at a new command and been greeted with "Oh, are you so-and-so on AirWarriors?" Search and read about the Lead Ensign and Princess Melanie viral email sagas. When I got out and interviewed for a job within the industry, there were a dozen familiar faces from the Fleet in the office - you think maybe the Company asked if any of them knew this Fester guy? (maybe not...I did get hired, after all) A phone call will preceed you to every command you get orders to. Your reputation is your currency in this job. So stomping on your crank before you're even out of the gate is not an auspicious start.
So believe us or don't, but don't say you weren't warned.
