I Hope this post finds you all well and flying safe. I know it's been awhile since I have graced you with some modeling so I thought I would share my latest build.
I know it's not a P-3 yet, but I deserve a little credit for not building another Tomcat or Super Hornet. I was a little nervous at first not knowing if my air brush would even spray anything other than TPS grays but my worries were unfounded and this sexy little VFC-111 F-5N proves it.
I hope you all enjoy the results. The kit is the fantastic AFV Club F-5N in 1/48. After scouring the internet for the perfect base image I found this one. It is an image of the of the same squadron, VFC-111, breaking away in the brown camo colors. After contacting the photographer he was kind enough to allow me its use to compliment my model. My sincere thanks goes out to Jose Ramos-Navarrete for allowing me to use and tweak his beautiful photograph to include in my project.
