I heard word that my final select letter is in (haven't got a copy in the mail, though). Almost there....

So who is applying for the March board? I am submitting a letter of reconsideration. I have another IT cert done (and maybe a second cert), I have a LOR coming from the VP of my company, and I have an interview with a RADM next week. Im hoping with these 3 things itll be enough to put me in.

I am. My interview in Norfolk is schedules for 7 January.

Thanks Das. I'm super excited to finally be on the next part of the journey. I'm going to be at NAS Pensacola this weekend so I am going to start picking up my uniforms for DCOIC and drill. I figured they would have a better selection of Navy gear than they do on the Army post I work on.

I wish, it would be great to meet ya but I will be returning back to GA on Monday. Just going down for Christmas with the family. They live right outside the back gate of the NAS.

Woohoo!!! Just got my final select letter!! So, just a few more days to wait for the paperwork to get to my recruiter ( i am planning for the first week of Janurary), but either way...it has been a fun process (hahahaaha) catch you guys out there sometime. Now, the next step is uniforms....wow...that's gonna be fun!

Have you started drilling yet? When are you planning to go to DCOIC? I want to go as soon as I can, but with my current work schedule, it will probably be later this year.

Gratz on the Select letter Walter. Based off the holidays and waiting on paperwork, I figure I won't drill until Feb so probably looking at April for DCOIC class. I show open DCOIC classes for 5 Feb, 15 Apr, and 22 Jul

So I had an amazing interview with RADM Leigher (2 star) yesterday. Hes an incredibly smart and nice guy. He not only gave me excellent ratings on my appraisal form, but he is also writing me a LOR and talking to some other people he knows. I think the third time is going to be the charm for me. A special thanks to Das for helping me out.

Well considering he's going to give me an LOR and introduce me to other senior IW officers, I'd say a 11 out of 10. It went that well.
