Funny you should mention that, Dean's son was an AF pilot. He was killed in an F4 crash 21 March 87, and supposedly Dean never really got over the loss and began his decline.
Johnny was commissioned an Ensign late in the war, and the bomb saved him a trip to the Pacific.
