I understand that that the Army is basically if not entirely helicopters. Question: does the Army have ANY jets at all? Or even any prop' stuff? One would assume that they at least have VIP transport jets and shit like that. I know they have UAV so I'm not talking about that.

A little Google goes a long way. http://www-rucker.army.mil/docs/usaace_info/USAACE%20Info%20Paper%20TCM-L%20Fixed%20Wing%2022%20Mar%2010.pdf

A PDF file from the Fort Rucker website. Talks about what they have. Basically, it breaks down to King Airs, Sherpas, Gulfstreams, Metroliners, and as the article points out, the C27 was planned for the Army, but it was ruled out (a damn shame). Most of those guys are either guard/reserve pilots, or on the active side, were rotary wing pilots first, and transferred in to the fixed wing side. Don't expect to walk in off the street and fly fixed wing for the Army. The only exception is the National Guard/Reserve units, which may possibly let you fight for a spot, but I'm not 100% sure on that one.

Addition: I swear I thought the Army also flew some Cessna Citations . . . someone can correct me if I'm wrong on that one.

I'm no juggernaut or shooting star... but a 0.29sec google search for Army Fixed Wing aircraft gave me same results. Crazy!

FYI, they have the internet on computers now.

When you get a chance, if it's not TOO MUCH of a hassle, try this new thing called "Google". It'll blow your mind.

Gentlemen,

This guy has been told to search a hundred times before he asks a question. But he continues to ask anyways before searching. It isn't getting through to him and I don't think it ever will.

That's interesting. People kept telling me that the Army only had rotaryboyz. So are the fixed pilots warrant officers as well?

and BTW: I don't use Google. Long story. But for best search results, I would recommend that you all use more comprehensive search engines such as Lycos and Excite.

Why use a search engine when I can just have everyone else do my work for me?

When are you going to start asking us for information about the application process and qualifications for the Salvation Army, Coast Guard Auxiliary, Civil Air Patrol, or Neighborhood Watch?

You're making recommendations on search engines? Since you never use them, how would you know which is best?

My recommendation to you - quit asking about being an officer. You're a stupid-ass douche bag that doesn't have what it takes and the thought of you as an officer makes me scared for the service and any young men who may be assigned to serve under you. You are a troll. You ask dumb questions and seem to enjoy all the negative attention you get here. I don't have time for trolls and quite frankly, your amusement value is quickly declining. Keep it up and I'm going to permanently ban you. Register again under a new user name and I'll ban that one too.

No, Warrant Officers aren't allowed to fly fixed wing, we're too stupid, from what I hear they're thiking of making us fly with lieutenants as the PCs in the helicopters (rotaryboyz I believe is the new term for this) because we're not even real officers.
