"plane full of rubber dog shit" ...

Hey, I do this and the pay is very good! Oh, the life of the bottom feeder?

I really don't know why Hong Kong needs a ton of rubber dog shit.

It's the flights coming from HKG that are heavy.. The U.S. Needs/buys all that Chinese Rubber Dog Shit..

I used to be a leader of men. I used to take my youngest, most inexperienced guys and apply guidance and direction. Now I just sit on my computer and shit on Midshipmen for asking questions.

Jimey,
The ability to insult many people quickly and efficienctly is vital to any career in Naval Aviation. Judging by the reaction from the peanut gallery, I'd say you are destined for jets, no problem!

FAIL!! You just succeeded in insulting 2/3 (if not more) of Naval Aviation. If wings of gold by themselves aren't good enough for you then go take a seat slick.

Besides, the above is what Air Force Pilots do!!!! :icon_tong

If I wanted helos I'd have gone Army, If I wanted to fly a giant air bus I'd go American Airlines

Actually AA got rid of their Airbii (Maybe you should have referenced Jetblue with your attempt at humor):
AA Fleet:
777: 47
767-300: 58
767-200: 15
757: 124
MD80: 272
737-800:77

Also those are people haulers; unless, you mean't "People" = "Rubber Dog Shit"

If you wanted to fly jets, you should have invented something totally useless and had that Shamwow guy sell it on early morning infomercials. That way you could afford to pick up some old Russian jet and go bombing around. If you wanted to serve your country as a Naval Officer, one lucky enough to be accepted and make it through any of the training pipelines... then you might be in business. Let me ask you Jimey... say you don't select Tailhook? Do you look the VT Skipper in the face and say "Well in that case sir/ma'am, I'm DOR'ing from the flight pipeline. If I had wanted to fly helos I'd have joined the Army."? The question you asked in itself is harmless enough. Amplifying information can be found with a quick search of the site. The manor your coming across to the great majority of those here though is all sort of wrong. You have zero RIGHT to be part of Naval Aviation. You are PRIVILEGED to have a shot at it.

Wouldn't flying a plane of rubber dog shit out of Hong Kong be the best job ever? I mean, you get to hop back and forth to HK. Sign me up.

The COD lifestyle does not suck....spend the night in Hong Kong a few times and you'll understand (for those who haven't).

I really hope that you go through Primary at Whiting- That way you can look at the helos every day with the realization that statistically thats what you are going to be flying.

To answer your question: there is something called a warfare transition that makes it possible for you to apply to a different platform after you become warfare qualified in your own.

He's awfully cocky for someone who is so worried about the back-up plan...

Either way, I'm excited to see this thread run its course. We haven't seen one of these in a while.

Actually, that has worked in the past... ask "T37 driver" for details.
