Just got home from Haiti, it's much worse than the pictures show but at least we're getting help into them. It'll take years for them to get the place truly back on it's feet.
Would help if the place had been on its feet to begin with.
I'm down here on the Nassau so if you stop by for gas or just passing by then give me a shout out. I spend most of my time in the tower.

I'm not there anymore but odds are I talked to you at some point. I stopped by once or twice dropping stuff off.
All that stuff (MTS, EWS, etc) are gonna end up being treated like the aux tank. Sure, they come off, but no one wants to do it. Plus, vertrepping with an aux is great if you have the Pa. Not stopping for gas every 1.0 is fantastic.

We breezed by you a few times and I think some guys landed there, but I never actually touched down.
Our connectivity was nil. We couldn't even get an airplan most of the time, so we couldn't get out pictures. There are some on the Navy.mil site where they caught us, but not many. This one:

I tried multi-quoting you, but it got lost, so... As for the TERRIBLE recce that the MCs are doing, it's also extra-challenging when squadrons are flying other squadrons aircraft. But you're right...seriously, it the tailwheel isn't on the back, it's probably not a Sierra.
Not sure about the other guys there, but for me, the place that left the biggest impression on me was Killick. It was a tiny LZ, but we (everyone) moved tons of people out of there and those guys on the ground were slammed w/ injured. The O-4 that was managing the loading and unloading at the LZ was just awesome (and I think I went to flight school with him). If I ever run into him, I want to shake his hand because he was dealing w/ some really crappy conditions and doing a great job.
One of the beautiful things out there was how PPE and "Safety" were second to the mission. That doesn't mean everyone wasn't safe, quite the opposite, actually. But there was a lot of Natops "legalese" that got thrown out in order to accomplish the mission.
We had extra long days flying in and out where I had to account for every second of mission time in order to complete our logistics flights. We flew medical supplies, FEMA personnel and Urban SAR teams in and flew evacuees out.
