Topper, if you don't qualify the first time usually you get another shot at it unless they think your grades have been bad enough that they don't think you can complete with the necessary scores. There is no such thing as being "rolled" into another squadron. There are four advanced jet squadrons and you stay till you complete or attrite. Sometimes those who can't qualify are allowed to redesignate to another aircraft pipeline but this seems pretty rare. Transitioning to a non flying job or a new job entirely seems more common.
Try not to have your heart completely set on strike because you never know what the needs of the navy will be the week you finish primary. However, it is very attainable if you work for it. Once you're there, you will do fine at the boat. The qual rate is very high because they know what they're doing to get you ready.
