All this legal and proper uniform stuff has always been a crock. It all goes back to making sure the SWOs don't feel slighted.

And other communities... some of them are just as jealous.

So what is the hold up now I wonder.

The new uniform regs are indeed aimed at getting flight suits allowed out in town, with the standardization of t-shirts and nametags representative of the effort to placate the aforementioned SWOs, et al.

Who cares what color shirt you wear as long as it's squadron colors? I can understand the nametag thing, but the shirt?

Why does Big Navy have so many people sitting around that they actually have time to sit around and complain about flight suits being worn out in town because T-shirts don't match? Is t-shirt color really that big of a deal?

You'd think it'd just be about the green flight suit (since tans are now also verboten CONUS). Who cares if the undershirt is a different color? They can tell we're military, and we're out in town doing our business like everyone else. Isn't that good PR?
