If you ever get chance to participate in Fleet Week in New York, thank your lucky stars and make sure you have plenty of uniforms! Don't go anywhere in anything else because New York knows how to treat sailors and Marines.

I saw two V-22s fly right over me on their way to New York the other day. I need to get to the city and check this out.

I got to be really close to the action in the latter sets, by acting like I belonged and hovering around one of the pilots that was on the ground.

Did anyone notice how there were a bunch of Marines NOT on a base but wearing cammies? And that even though they were wearing cammies and NOT on a base, not only did the world not end, but they actually got good recruiting opportunities out of it?

I noticed it. I think I'm going to go start a thread about how a bunch of dirt bag Marines were "in town" in a non-approved uniform. Those threads go over pretty well.

One of the Ospreys is going to fly over the Mets game, and we'll be at Teterboro to pick the crew up and fly them over to Laguardia so they can stand at Shea Stadium and wave and be on the big jumbotron. Then they have to drive back to Secaucus and change into an appropriate uniform...
