VA beach Patriotic Festival

Anyone on here planning on going or been in the past? I am going to be in Lejeune for 2 months this summer and was planning on heading up that way for the weekend. The line up looks pretty good, just not sure if it is worth driving 3+ hours to get there.

Do they let you curse like a sailor during the festival?

I went last year. It was ok, but not as exciting as I was expecting it to be. I do plan on hitting the bbq festival next weekend.

Any time spent getting out of the vicinity of Camp Swampy is time well spent. After a few hours in OnSLOW county, you'll welcome the change of pace from wearing khaki shorts, braided belts, polo shirts, and Air Jesus sandals...and seeing the same everywhere you go.

VA Beach has a lot to offer (comparatively speaking); it will be worth your time.
