Pretty much this, with the exception of Pulp Fiction and that's only because it had Bruce Willis, Samuel L. Jackson, and John Travolta going for it (with Uma Thurman working against it, of course).

I know he's been working on this since before Kill Bill, so I have high hopes. From what I hear, you're not supposed to expect a run of the mill WW2 movie. It's supposed to be over the top ala 'Planet Terror' in 'Grindhouse', with blood, guts and decapitations everywhere.

The difference being Windtalkers took itself seriously. It tried to be a real, serious war movie but ended up looking silly and stupid. Plus it was more about Nick Cage than the actual Windtalkers themselves.

Inglourious Basterds obviously doesn't take itself too seriously. It's about the gory fictionalized slaying of Nazis. It's meant to be over the top.
