What medical test do the NFO do?
Is it same as a civilian ATPL class 1 medical?

No, USN Pilot and NFO candidates undergo a different physical exam which is not outlined in the FAA medical system. Check the NOMI website if you care to see more about it.

It's also advisable for the average NFO to have very poor ability to recall details. If not, they risk their eyeballs sticking into the back of their head from rolling them at their pilots latest story about himself.
