...blah, blah, blah...
This is not a Navy site. We do not have to be politically correct or subscribe to any equal opportunity policy (I'm a mod so I saw your reported post comment). We are a bunch of Navy aviators - past, present and wanna-bes - acting like typical Navy aviators in a ready room. That is what this site strives to emulate.

There are many women that are accepted and respected members of this site and there are more than a few most members don't even realize are women. They aren't pounding the "indignation drum" when guys make guy comments. When someone starts directing sexist, racist, crude or abusive posts at you or a specific individual, we as a mod team will squash them. But most of us are guys and we have guy attitudes and make guy comments. If that doesn't meet your likes or standards - too bad.

BTW, the author of the post you reported is a site administrator. The webmaster has given him god-like powers on this site and he is one of those setting site policy.

Its different because I didn't write boo hooing about guys. I just pointed out that this is a real forum for NAVY stuff, not girl problems (as you notated in your "both" perspective). I don't have any problems with guys. Thats all I'm going to comment on because this isn't "MySpace"- and I don't see why anyone cares about my guy problems. If I had some I surely wouldn't vent them here. Really, I didn't even note that I was a girl, you're just assuming I am because I didn't take sides with the guy with all the problems- I just POINTED OUT that blaming someone else for a low GPA doesn't raise it. But ofcourse, anything with the slightest hint of going against the crowd will get everybody all riled up and fingers will just be jumping to type something sarcastic back to put me in my place.

So, before there are all the typical replies to my post with the inevitable oh-so-witty responses, I'm not going to drag it out for three pages of stuff that has nothing to do with GPA questions, but rather a big dramatic "battle of the sexes". This post has pretty much taken the last of the "I really care" out of me as far as this conversation goes. No energy or use arguing a lose-lose situation and I'm not out to change any opinions- just thought I would voice mine and, honestly, I'm surprised anybody cared enough to acknowledge it.

Good luck with the new Spring semester!

You seem like a tough chick....do you crack skulls and blow bubbles with NowNLaters in your spare time? ;)

Not to sound rude, but seriously, is this a forum for legit questions, or an opportunity to hold hands, wipe tears and boo hoo about how women are the bane of existance and there is absolutely no thinking independently when they are around???

If this were true, then why are you here?

*snickers* Yeah, because women issues are never a Navy lifestyle issue. *snickers*

Your last two posts have been much of the same, whining. Pot meet kettle.

It's women like her that make me wish to build a time machine and go back to when there were no women aside from nurses.

That, and the worst thing you could get from a hooker the doc could cure with a shot. That would be cool too.

Nice! (the mod's have forgotten about me and moved on to a new unsuspecting prey...)

Ps. I kinda like the new avatar, so thanks to whoever changed it (MB?) but I'll pass on E.T. as a callsign. I appreciate the thought and all...but I'd prefer something more fitting...something cool like "hotshot" or "awesome" or "beast slayer" if that can be arranged... :icon_tong

You might get "beast slayer" but that would be the result of excessive beer goggles. No fleet experience but I'm pretty sure that you can't really "pass" on a callsign since it's given to you.

yeah I know I'm just being smart

ps. I'm not even in OCS yet, so I'm not gonna be cocky and assume I have a callsign FYI

Every time I find out a college or military buddy of mine is getting married I think of your advice and chuckle a little.

Anyway, like it's been said, since you don't have many credits done it'll be easier to recover your GPA. I screwed up my freshmen year, enlisted, came back to college after learning some really big lessons including how to be a man and take personal responsibility and now my grades are rosy.
