"Quiet: double engine failure? Was there a mayday?

As always, the air station was built decades before the homes involved - but, of course, it's the Navy's/Marine Corps' fault.

I love civilian news comments: "it just spiraled, right out of 'Top Gun.' "

No speculation or thread will be closed.

Could've been much worse, glad the pilot got out okay...too bad about the civilians on the ground...I guess building your house under the flightline isn't such a good idea...(I live by Cecil, karma will drop a Coast Guard helo on my ass for that last comment)

O.K. ... so we all know there's been a crash. One thread has been closed because of "speculation" and now it's creeping into this thread. Not a capital offense ... but you all know the "accident/incident policy" around here:

Let's wait until there's some official Navy/Marine announcement(s) ... then we can open this thread again if its merited.

If you're going to share a news story, just provide the link to avoid copyright issues. Also, there's already been three threads about this, each one gets locked due to some type of speculation that occurs. This one is open for now, but don't get your hopes up.
