Jan Michael Vincent doesn't exactly help the cause either.

Remember when he kisses that chick from the opening credits of the show? He looks like a 15 year old getting to 2nd base for the first time.
 
I too was disappointed. Here I thought it would be the MiG-28/F-14 scene from Top Gun! :D
