Reputable dealers in WWA . . . besides Kesselring's

Now that the election results are in, I've moved an AK to the top of my wish list. I've heard rumors that the prices are going through the roof at gun shows lately, and I'm not going to pay some obscene scalper's price for piece of junk.

That said, the only one I can find in the area is a MAK-90 at Greene's with a thumbhole stock and a receiver that looks fairly pitted. Kesselrings has a bunch of ARs and even a nice FN FAL that I don't have the $3000 for. Are there any other dealers in a wider geographical area (say Bellingham to Everett) that are worth checking? Just like cars, if I'm buying used I want to put my hot little hands on it and check it out before I plunk down the $$$.

Wade's in Bellevue ... if you want it; they've got it. Prices are a little higher than Kesselring's as they also cater to the wine & cheese tasting set ... but their selection of "tactical" long guns is second to none.

Wade's Eastside Guns

If you can make it to Corpus, there's an IP here who is something of an AK connoisseur. Has an FFL and a current stock of "over 800" AK's of various national origins.

If you're interested in buying, he'll meet you at the range with 10 or 12 different ones and let you try 'em all.

Decent prices, too.

PA, can you PM me the name/contact of said IP. I have a couple guys here in K-rock that are looking to buy "evil weapons".

Funny. I wouldn't have thought the "wine and cheese tasting set" would have anything to do with something so proletarian as a gun shop. :icon_tong

I'll have to check them out next weekend.

You'd be surprised what "they" do when no one is "watching" ... there's lots & lots of "secret" gun owners amongst the Eastside brie & white wine set, especially @ Wade's as that's where they live & work ... "they" just don't like to admit it to their "more progressive friends". :)

It's kinda funny ... one of the dealers I partake of told me most of his SURGING business post-election has been from assholes (his words, not necessarily mine ... ) who had "Vote Obama" stickers on their expensive Euro-trash & JAP-anese vehicles just a few days/weeks prior to the election ... :icon_wink

STOP!! STOP!! STOP!!! Sorry .. I just slapped myself. My intent was NOT to turn this "political", rather to point out the hypocrisy that is now coming out of the woodwork .../:)

The more a person is an ideologue on either side of the spectrum, the greater the chances they're also a hypocrite. Witness all the televangelists who suddenly and mysteriously catch teh ghey . . .

...on their expensive Euro-trash & JAP-anese vehicles...

Wait a minute. Last I heard here, YOU drove a "Euro-trash" vehicle! Not that I'm knocking Eurotrash vehicles (or Japanese ones, for that matter).

I like to spread myself around ... thus, I drive two Reich-produced vehicles and one from Arlington, Texas. Usually not all at the same time, however ...

I used to drive a JAP-anese vehicle, got tired of it, gave it to #1 son so he could destroy it, and I continued to fly to the Home Islands for 25 years to compensate ... but I still like fisheads & rice.
:D
