Looks like its going to be a great show. I remember my dad would find a way to leave his command early, find a legit excuse to get me out of school (typically the "he's got a dental appointment" excuse), and drive me up to NAS Miramar to see the show.

Several years later in high school I'd still find legit excuses to get out of school and make the drive to MCAS Miramar.

And for those who care, the Miramar O'Club "Airshow Kickoff Party" is THURSDAY evening...or so sez the sign inside the front gate...
