There are sailors now born in the 90's!

Things that make me feel old:

1.) Finding out that the aircraft that I flew in has been taken out of service and/or sold to foreign navies

2.) Finding out that the ship I cruised on has been sold to a foreign navy or (worse) scrapped.

3.) Finding out that any bases that you trained at or visited on a regular basis while on active duty has been BRAC-ed and turned into an industrial park.

4.) Sailors entering now were born four years AFTER I was released from active duty.
 
I remember walking out the flight line in 1995 as a 24 YO LTJG and getting worried that all the aircraft were older than me.

I also remember walking out the flight line in 2006 as a 35 YO LCDR and getting even more worried that all the aircraft were STILL older than me.

The ego blow, however, was when some 24 YO LTJG said "Good god, these aircraft are older than the LCDR!"
 
Some of the guys in Primary and at VP-30 were only five or six years old when I got Married. I am older than some department heads.... Is it bad to refer to the department heads as "those kids...":D
 
When I "graduated" from service to UNCLE, 46% of the people on AW's were wetting the bed.

14% of them still do .... :)

A guy in my squad from TBS had turned 20 while we were there. But of course, he was a bit immature and had to be rolled back to another company until he was able to develop more "leadership" skills. On a side note, every member in my fireteam was 27 or older... go Fireteam Cardiac!

I didn't sound too bright saying that. What I was thinking is that around here the Lts. came from college last year, while I graduated in '02, on the other hand I went to Warrant Officer School with guys that were getting grounded for not doing their homework six months earlier.
 
When the Commodore asked everyone to stand up and started getting people to sit down by who's birthday was later and later, and I ended up being the last guy standing.... I figured I was pretty young.

At least I was the youngest in TW-4.

God, I hope you mentioned how salty you were w/ your numerous posts on AirWarriors and mentioned your rep points.:)

I've actually added little green block to my name patch on my bag. People come up to me all the time and ask how they can get more rep, and they buy me free booze.
