100th V-22 delivered!

Attached is a photograph of the 100th V-22 Osprey produced by Bell Boeing. The aircraft is flying in hover mode. This aircraft is the 92nd MV-22 produced and delivered to the US Marine Corps. There have been eight CV-22 Ospreys built and delivered to Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC). We’re sending this out in response to a number of requests for a photo of the 100th Osprey in flight.

The aircraft is flying in hover mode.

VTOL mode.

Conversion mode is in the middle. Airplane mode is, well, airplane mode.

I bet that thing is hella fun to fly.

It has its moments. The performance is great, but the biggest impact is when that trip that used to take nearly an hour in a helo takes 20 minutes.
