What a wuss! This guy should have had some dignity and told the captain to go screw himself.....

Yeah, well see, here's the problem w/ that approach. If you did that to me on my airplane -- I'd put you in a box. :)

But then again, the situation would not develop on my airplane, 'cause I would not leave the gate w/ out enough seats for the "chattering" classes.

!

Dude, have you flown post 9/11? You can be arrested for filling out a complaint card. (sarcasm)

Flying has become a miserable, and unavoidable, experience.

My man Don Logan handled his attendant issues with aplomb:

i've flown non-rev my entire life (mother works for delta), and i've been treated pretty sh*tty, but never to that extent!

Agreed on both counts -- and it's a relief to "hear" that a Captain could not be so stupid ...

As far as non-rev's being "treated pretty sh*tty" ... while I've never had to sit on it, I've been made to "eat it" on more than one occasion ... :D

I got this from another website. The cameras being talked about are in the pax cabin so the cockpit sees whats going on. We should all have them.

The non-rev basically begged the Captain to get him back to New York so he would not miss work. The Captain told the guy he couldn't do anything the flight was completely full. This conversation took place in front of the gate agent who mentioned there was a jumpseating flight attendant on board. The Captain told the guy he would go ASK the flight attendant if (s)he would mind sitting on the jumpseat. The Captain also told him not to get his hopes up, it is a long flight and it would ultimately be up to the flight attendant, he made no guarantees. The flight attendant said (s)he would be willing to sit on the jumpseat to get this guy on. In flight during a bathroom break the guy approached the galley and thanked the Captain over and over. The Captain said "I didn't really do anything go thank the flight attendant if you want to thank anyone". The guy said "Is there anything else I can do?" The Captain said "If you want to stretch your legs for awhile maybe you could let her sit down in the seat for a bit to watch tv and relax". The flight attendant did fall asleep and the guy didn't have enough brains to wake her up. Toward the end of the flight it started to get bumpy so the Captain turned on the seat belt sign. The Captain then looked in the cameras to make sure everyone was in their seats, that is when he saw this guy standing in the back galley. The Captain called back and told the flight attendants to have this guy go back to his seat. During deplaning this guy is walking toward the front of the cabin shaking his head. The Captain says, "What is wrong?" The guy starts to tell him, when the Captain says "Come out on the jetbridge and we will discuss this"

That was the last the Captain had heard about this since it happened in February until now.

Wow! Makes me glad I am flying hornets again. Not to many passengers to deal with.

HAL: The story suddenly becomes very clear. The guy is a weenie and should have used his "big boy" voice to ask the flight attendant, politely, for his seat back. This guy should be countersued for legal and court fees...:icon_rage
