Depending on the amount of thrust....from 800 to 2000.
Actual plane, usually lots of fiberglass, made for you....another 500-2000 depending on who makes it.
R/C set up.....anywhere from 200-3000.

Something like what that guy has....I know he paid no less than 6000 for the damned thing.

And that's bargain basement compared to what this guy had to have spent...

I've been waiting 3 years for him to fly that thing. He was trying to sell it at one time for around $30,000. I think he's afraid to fly it because he might crash it. I do know that the engines cost him $6000 a piece in 2003.

The guy that build that B-52 in the UK...spent 15k just for the engines. I believe he crashed it on the second flight....now that thing....made a nice big fire.

Here's one that's only 1/17th scale flying... I didn't realize there was such a demand for RC C-17's...

I recall hearing a story about how he build another one after the first one crashed, only to crash it again. The reason for the crash was over banking since it used spoilerons just like the real thing. He just banked past the point of no return.

I know this is a repost, but in the vein of this thread....I always thought this was one of the cooler RC demos I've seen. Yeager would be proud!
