Modern day "Scooter." (sorry A4s)

Nice pics.

I like the idea of the paint job in principal...but how on Gods green earth after they were done painting it they could've have said "Yup, looks good to me. Lets take some pictures!" I have no idea. My response would have been. "lets put it in the WAY back of the hanger and never talk about this ever again." The rest are the photos are amazing! the second one is my favorite. Great post!

"Viper" vs "Fighting Falcon"...reminiscent of Stripes "They call me the cruiser".."They should have called you the dork".

At least the Navy calls their airplanes cool names to begin with, so people don't have to refer to them by some other name.

c'mon...everyone knew this thread would devolve into this. It's just AW logic :D

outstanding pics...I kinda dig the throwback paint job. Wouldn't want to fly that jet everyday, but good for a photo op.

Yeah....and can I add Lightning II to the mix?

I like it too. I'd like to see the Navy do a few commemorative historical schemes. Maybe a 1930's like graced the the F-3-F's, a early WWII scheme with the blue and light gray and of course the classic 50's gloss gull gray and white.

Would be a nice thing to do something special for the 100th anniversary of Naval Air

Agreed. An all over gloss blue paint job from late WWII would be slick...plus I'd like to see a 60S painted like an old Phrog.
