Is it hurricane season???

Oh good now we can stop blaming this place being a wreck on Ivan.. and blame it on tornados.

I did have to dig a ditch to keep the bar from flooding... gotta protect the important assets.
 
our "moat" here at Countrywood was getting uncomfortably full. On another note, we got to cut out early since the CO told us to go home...good times!

To everyone bitching about Pensacola: check out Meridian or Kingsville. You don't know how good you have it.

as many problems as kingsville has (third world country, deadly flesh eating bacteria, 85 starts to feel like its cool out, etc) I would still rather live here than deal with those rednecks ever again.
 
^^To each his own. Geting back on topic, the big news on TV today was the weather in P-cola (must have been a slow news day). I'd like to hear some more about it.

ACTUALLY ... having lived in "all of 'em" ... i.e., P-Cola, Meridian, Kingsville, and Beeville ... I can say that (for me) they were all "O.K." .... :eek: Maybe not perfect ... but what the hell is, may I ask??? I used to love San Francisco ... I wouldn't go there now on a bet.

It's all what you make of it. Enjoy the "good times" now while you can ... these are some of the best times of your young lives.

'Cause with time and retrospection, i.e., when you get to be as "mature" as I ... you'll sometimes wish you could go back and revisit the "good times" in places like those mentioned above.

The "bad" times will have long since faded from your memory ... :)

The waters going to come on my porch if we get another bad day. But the worst thing is all the snakes. Everytime the damn moat fills we always get snakes and last time this happened I came home to find a big fat snake on my back porch. If you shine a light you can see the little ones on the banks.
 
The word today was that Pensacola got 7 inches of rain and the tornado touched down near the front gate. They started sending people home, but not until my class was over.

After the destructive weather horn on base today (first time I've heard that,) they locked us ON base. ;)

Sure. Yes I picked Meridian. Would I go again? Hell yeah. But when it comes to bitching about Pensacola...the place has good bars, restaurants and beaches. It can get much worse.
 
Krock is nice if you have connections (aka locals who can take you hunting, fishing, get you into "private clubs" etc)

If you dont have connections, it blows ass.
