MB, who's on the podium? Specifically, who is that 0-6 with the 'stache?

I wonder if CDR Nortier is the same guy who used to be an HT instructor.

Amazing to see these guys as LTs on their first shore tours and now they are COs.

The other brass in that pic look really not interested at all.

Big Iron, I know what you mean.

I'm starting to have some of my older friends making LCDR and losing their minds. A couple OICs I have cruised with are now CDRs and one is an XO now.

And I am still in flight school :icon_smil

One of my former students came from HSM-41. I thought they flew the Romeos. Is this the first deployable squadron to man up instead of a FRS?

HSM-41 flies both the 60B and 60R.

HSM-71 is the first "All R" squadron. And its a deployable one as well.

Is it at JAX or NASNI? HSL used to be "even east, odd west" but I think the Helo Master Plan/H60 Assimilation Plan did not stick to that.

It looks like CAPT McNellis, CAG 5. Not sure what he would be doing there though.
The flag is RADM Hall, first skipper of HSL-51 and I think the rest are old LAMPS bubbas.

Possibly as he might have some operational control of 71 if they deploy as part of his airwing.
