Does anyone know where i can get a good color full size poster of the T-34 cockpit? The issued one and the local stores are smal andl B&W. Thanks for the help.

I don't think having it in color will really help much more, but what do I know. Time might be best spent in the static sim or sim? I believe those are full color
Aren't there color dials in the NATOPS? You could copy those and put them over the B+W one you have so you have the colors on the dials, if thats what you are looking for.

Never taken an FAA type rating or FE check ride huh? In many cases the limits are the colors...
What's the limit on hydraulic system 1 pressure?
Red - bad
Yellow - look it up
Green - good to go
Granted not all are this easy and many require memorizing actual numbers, but the colors are there for a reason. When you do a quick scan of the instruments you don't easily see numbers but if the needle points to the green, you probably don't need to see a number.
BTW - many panel posters issued with civilian training materials are black and white too. I recommend buying and using red, green, yellow and blue highlighters.
Then again, there's examples where the color doesn't tell the full story. For example, the -60 transmission limit in flight is 45-60 psi but the VIDS shows green up to 65. Or there's the T-34, where, just because the needle isn't in the green doesn't mean it's out of limits (for oil). But I get your point.
However, this is all moot. You really don't need a full color poster of a T-34 several weeks before you've even started (let alone checked into) Primary. If it's a matter of curiosity and just getting excited, drive up to Whiting and crawl around the real thing.
Sounds like those guages need changed. Bad design - it defeats the whole reason they color code things. Someday they will be mentioned as contributing factors in an accident investigation.
Not really, it's all dependent on flight regime. For the T-34, it's a matter of whether you're at idle or not. No real reason to make something that would be out of limits 95% of the time while in flight "green." I don't really remember what the deal was w/ the -60, but it was green for a reason at some point in the fly day. The crazy part is sometimes a transmission would be out of limits, but in the green, and that was okay w/ a letter from GE/Sikorsky. Whatever.
