wearing of uniforms by civilians...

I never got that with Marines, who cares what you wear off duty? I always laughed at all of the Marines who showed up in their civilian 'uniform' at bars and clubs, or T-shirts with a giant EGA or bulldog on it. Kind of defeats the purpose.......:o

The Marine officer "off duty" uniform, for both instructors and students here at Whiting consists of a pair of modest shorts, a knit polo neatly ironed and tucked into said shorts with a brown belt and, of course, the high and tight. You can see those guys coming a mile away down Duvall St.
 
That, and their vocabulary only consists of yut yut ooh rah semper fi devil dog...

That video pops up whenever it is appropriate, and this thread was one of those times...a thread merge isn't needed.
