Anyone have any intel on the board this week? I noticed from the board precept that they will be choosing "special mission" DH's as well. I'm expecting the phone calls to start tomorrow . . . . .

Yeah, I liked the special mission blurb too. They also seemed to emphasize the alternate list a little more this year in the precept ( I know of one DH selectee from two years ago who still hasn't started the CAT III syllabus).
It's going to be tough for VP FO's again. Some RAG guys are even sweating it. I've got the VP list of candidates, but haven't crunched the numbers.
It's my second look and since VP has not picked a second look guy since they started the ADHSB, I'm not holding my breath.
The caveat? They aren't flagging records overtly as "second look" in the tank. But it seems fairly easy to derive.

I wouldn't necessarily expect those phone calls on Friday -- that would be a lot of calls to make in a day.

I will say this Rob, at least we've got the retirement option in play. I feel for some of the guys at 10yrs who are way qualified, but won't select and have to chase the carrot for the next 10 years...

Amen to that. What are you gonna do? I know of a job right now in JAX with DPA.

DP & Associates. Defense contractor doing USN software support & development and curriculum development in a number of different aviation communities.
Not sure if it's the same company, but there was also one out of Orlando doing the same type of thing for SWOS. The kicker was they were contracted out by NAVAIR.

Yes, that would be them. I believe they are owned by L-3 now.

You realize that if you end up being associated w/ anyone responsible for CBTs, you will be asked to leave the website. CBTs? Why not just put on an AF ascot. Sheesh.

Smiles, of course.

You would not belive the money these guys get paid to do the work that stash Ensigns could handle.
