Not very tactical at 220 knots! He was pretty slow after what looked like a long take off roll, anyone know the elevation there? Was def low though. Would have been cooler if he bounced a few flares off the deck.
 
It just doesn't work for me without a snap UP at the end of the runway and a zooooooom for the mooooooon ... even an A-4 could do THAT. :eek:
 
That's the departure out of Bagram, around 5,500' MSL, mid-day, during the summer...alot of that stuff going around.
 
I always liked this video of Hornets taking off at low altitude. The angle isn't right in front like that A-10 video, the Hornets appear to be a bit higher and there is a lot of noise from the wind but I figured I'd share.
