Are you one of those guys that is going to graduate with 200 credits? Usually having less than a year and "senior standing" are pretty closely related. If your situation is "special" then write a letter of explanation about it and send it in.
If your goal is to become an officer, regardless of any money you may receive in college and BDCP is just the icing on the cake.... apply for OCS. You might not get the money, but you'll get the butter bars, and that's what really matters.

I've posted this somewhere before I think, but I was accepted for BDCP SNA in January, swore in April 4, and I graduate on May 18. It's your application you can apply for whatever you want. Heck, the worst thing they could do is turn it down. They can't tell you what you should or shouldn't apply for, so if you want it, just say so.
I also got accepted to BDCP my senior year. I got accepted in September.
No matter what you have been told, you are now in the good gouge place (unless you get bad gouge; then you're in the hurt locker and it's your own fault.
Like everybody else has said with great wisdom. Apply!! I just checked the stats and you are more likely to get picked up for BDCP, OCS, A pilot slot and F-35's if you submit an application. The acceptance rate for non-applicants stills hovers at about 0%. It is actually a little higher than that because Chuck Norris has been accepted without formal paperwork.
So, unless you are Chuck Norris, (if you are I apologize for the sarcasm Mr. Norris, Sir), talk to an Officer Recruiter and fill out an application package.
If you are at a recruiting office in a strip mall and talking to someone with stripes on their arm, that is okay if you want to enlist and not be an aviator; otherwise, talk to an officer recruiter (usually wearing khakis with a gold pin on left breast).

This has been posted elsewhere, but the short answer is yes, they definitely look at the 'whole character' and if you are well-rounded or not. Getting a good ASTB score would help, though.
