Height Restrictions for Pilot?

I'm 5'2"... Does anyone know the low end of height restrictions for pilot? Thanks!

Generally, 64" is the lower limit for lfight programs. Check out this post as it tells you just about all the limits for anthro.

You will have to do a series of physicals for aviation cruises and for commissioning w/ an SNA designation. Plenty of opportunities to find out early on if you're too short.

PM Flygrl88 and ask her.....she was in your same boat (w/r/t height) and just got picked up for SNA

Keep in mind that overall height might not matter. It DOES come down to things like sitting height, buttock to knee, and reach. Just because you are the same overall height as someone else means that you will be fully qualified. Flight docs at a Naval Hospital or something similar are your best source. Ask your unit about possibly getting your flight physical so you can find out.

Just strap a couple of phone books to your flight boots and you should be good to go on height and weight.

You say this in jest but.......there was a pilot on my crew in my first squadron that taped a couple of 3 inch wooden blocks to the bottom of his flight boots. The skipper made him go "sans wood" for his NATOPS checks and VIP flights but he used them the rest of the time.

Wait, I'm confused. He made the mins for anthros, but if he used the blocks it was eaiser to get to the pedals?
