is good to go
But I will call the guys down at my flying club tomarrow and confirm if it departed from there. I know 2500 ft. is way too short for a T-45, but I swear it left from there.
Okay, okay, I plead fuzzy memory . . . I haven't used BETA in forever so I suppose I forgot the extent of its wonderful capabilities . . .
SkidKid,
You did an airshow here? Thats awesome! What did you fly?
I was going to make a smartass comment, but it's just too easy...
As for "Mustang Beach," that link says the runway is about the size of Silverhill's actual landing area (3400'). Pul-lenty of room. You can get a T-34 stopped in 1000' easy.
what is the runway length there? At Meridian we needed 5000 ft runways for any cross country destination. I didn't think san carlos was that long.
That was my point. On the approaches into NGP flying over the Lex I often wondered if you could land a T-34 on it and stop. Probably could.
Land a T-34 on the LEX with 25 knots over the deck ???..... flying over the Lex I often wondered if you could land a T-34 on it and stop. Probably could.
--- no catapults .... just get 25-30 knots down the angle, full power at the ramp, release the breaks and go --- and change your (my) flight suit when we get to the beach.
