Most that I know who did the military high school then college were so burned out being toy soldiers that they elected not to go in the real military.
I honestly would discourage my son from military high school but have no problem with him looking at military collge.

I enlisted in the Navy because my SAT scores weren't good enough to get into the Academy. I wanted to go to the Academy pretty bad, but after 3 years of playing little reindeer games thoughout nuke land and BOOST, I really didn't want anything to do with the Academy when it was time to pick my college.

It took less time then that for me to get over the Academy. I'm not applying again this year, and will still be getting my commission the same time that all my friends who went to the Academy are getting theirs, so it's not a big deal anymore. But I do enjoy being in a military school in regards to a public school. I just enjoy the structure and military-like nature of military school.
