A few of the fighters were exuberant, filled with bravado from a battle they clearly believed they had won. "We don't want it to end," Kalash said. He pointed toward the Israeli border. "We want to keep going, all the way inside."
Iran, Syrian leaders laud Hezbollah ‘victory’
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,208378,00.htmlHezbollah leader Sheik Hassan Nasrallah has declared "strategic, historic victory" against Israel. Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Hezbollah has "hoisted the banner of victory" over Israel and thwarted U.S.-led plans to forge a Middle East dominated by "the U.S., Britain and Zionists."
ROBERTSON: But as commander in chief of the army, why don't you tell the Lebanese army to stop Hezbollah and then bring an end to this?
LAHOUD: Well, if you knew the interior politics of Lebanon, you will understand that in 2000 Hezbollah was the main liberator of our land. And at the time, the Lebanese army was and still is with what is happening on the frontier. Because, you see, what was happening was Israel with airplanes ... but having the resistance, they think twice. And because of that there is no animosity between the army and the resistance. ... The resistance are Lebanese.
ROBERTSON: If you were to call on the army now to stop Hezbollah from attacking Israel, to stop Israel therefore attacking Lebanon.
LAHOUD: In the first place, I wouldn't give such an order. Believe me, Hezbollah has done a lot for Lebanon in liberating this land. ... Hezbollah is part of the government.
When fighting these types of people who believe every little thing is controlled by god, they will claim victory as long as at least one is able to speak, even if the casualty rate is 200/1. When we leave Iraq, be it tommorow or years from now, the insurgents there will too claim victory over the zionists.
Unlike Christians, who never do that kind of thing. Kurt Warner scores a touchdown - THANK YOU JESUS!

Ever heard of Calvinism? While all religions usually thank some diety for their accomplishments, only one accepts both life and death the same way. If one kills an infidel, it is because of god. If it takes 10 other muslims out to get the infidel, it too is because of god. If 10 children are killed in a terrorist safehouse, its god again, Hurricane Katrina= God (or Bush depending who you ask). If it takes 700 killed and international pressure to call a cease fire, ALLAH AKBAR!! LALALALALALALA!!!!

As opposed to, say, Christianity, where people talk about eternal life that comes because of one guy's death. And where people look forward to dying because of an eternal reward in the afterlife. Oh, and where a hurricane will wipe out the better part of a state because God hates gay pride parades. And where unrest in the Middle East is actually a good thing, because it'll speed the coming of the Rapture. While all religions usually thank some diety for their accomplishments, only one accepts both life and death the same way.
