Just as an update, the pilots in Lemoore don't find out until ~halfway through whether or not they are E or F. Not if this is the same on Oceana or not.

This changes regularly. Expect it to change again.

WSOs, however, find out if they're going E or F relatively early.

Good luck man!
Thanks buddy! CQ went well for me but we had some bad weather. Every Meridian guy qual'd. I managed to scam a shot to the beach the day I was supposed to remain overnight on the boat. The next day, I had 3 F-15's doing ACM and popping flares co-altitude 1/2 mile off my nose while we were checking in with Marshall.

So, I am about to head to VT-86, and im still not solid on whether I want to point towards the ECMO route (growlers) or the WSO route (rhinos). I have heard from 1 single seat guy that it would be in my best interest to head to the growler, but thats just one opinion. Either way, it looks like -18s at this point, hopefully. Any inside info from either community? Any little bit would help. Thanks in advance.

Do what YOU want. I've learned a lot of good techniques while here at the FRS from single seat guys, but don't plan your career on the opinions of one. Talk to some 2 anchor guys from both platforms while at -86. Since you are just about to head there, you will have at least 3-4 months to find out the info you need to make a good decision. As for now, just think of questions to ask.
