Depends on what you want outta primary. I've have a comm multi inst ticket and got the grades I needed to fly my choice. At least I thought I did. I wanted p3's but my grades got me e2/c2. My point is depending on how the cards fall you might have grades beyond the cutoff for certain platforms. I'm in kingsville now and I couldn't be happier flying the t45. If you end up doing well and you want helo's or maritime then you'll have to throttle your grades accordingly. Everyone else will tell you to do as well as you can b/c in the end it all comes down to needs of the navy. All things considered that's probably the best advice.

BAD GOUGE!!

I have NEVER seen someone FORCED into anything Tailhook. Not that it has never happened, but sandbagging to assure you get Helos or P3s is BULLSHIT.

Do your fvcking best. Any less, you should STFU, DOR and go SWO.

I was told at one point towards the end of Primary that if I wanted a jet slot, I should eat dirt and get sick. That way I could roll back into the class that had jet slots. Hmm....no thanks. Plus, per diem and no boat....um.....yea.....

Two guys my week I selected, both wanted helos, both ended up going E2/C2 since they needed them that week and they both had mid-50's NSS.

But yes, I agree, going tactical med-down, dumping a flight(s) just to hopefully "get" what you want is pretty crappy.

Thanks for the input. Ya, sandbagging isn't in my vocab so hopefully they'll have the jet slots available when I get there. I'll just study my ass off and let fate do the rest. Looking forward to the Navy PRT in just a few hours. No offense but it'll be nice doing 1.5 instead of 3 miles. Only thing is I don't do pushups anymore since all I work towards are my pullups. Good times.

That was a blast from the past, I would have added footage from "kids and squids" Friday at Seville Quarter to fully relate the experience.

Haven't heard this discussed, but the mile swim IS still in a flight suit. Yes?
