hahah...OMG! That's like when my friend was purchasing a house upon moving to Stafford,va. They all met in Arizona to sign papers...and the lady selling the house SWORE to my friend, she's a 10yr military wife, "and she knows how to keep a home clean, inspections from head to toe" hahah...B/S! That's about what my friend moved into... and she cried.
 
why on earth would your friend purchase something without seeing it?

was it one of those "we don't need real estate agents to save money deals"?
 
Well, they had pictures online....and other pictures of the home when they went to arizona to sign papers. It was through Military By Owner.
 
yes, per room? does seem really high. Seeing as we're paying 1,700 rent for a 5 bdrm 2100sqft home with a nice deck, and gazebo in Virginia. :)
