NEWS NFA Regulations Revoked! SBR and Suppressors for all my friends.

I already have some 4473 cans and just made my own SBRs via personal edict after this all came out.

Who pays MAP/MSRP?

But seriously, someone should look at the relationship of demand and how that affects the price of goods. Supply may also play into that equation. They could even make a graphical curve about it.
I've yet to see significant discounts. Keeping my eye out though!

Why are we expecting discounts?

Demand for cans and SBRs has gone was UP since this happened.
My uneducated guess is that this will make the supply curve move - the fewer legal hurdles there are to ownership, the more suppliers will jump and say "Hey look there is money to be made here now"...

I hope.

Long term I think you are right, but I think short term prices will remain level.

I had 1 can going F3 from Silencer Shop and then bought one w/o on 4473 to be transferred to the local dealer. In the end they both went 4473 but my local dealer said S/S was slammed. Everything good is backorder or OOS, and it is still kind of the case.

SBRs might be easier to ramp up on, since it's only barrels which are also readily available - plus you can just make your own now as well (I made all of my remaining non-SBR ARs all SBRs in a day after the ruling). So everything goes now.

But I think it'll take a bit for silencers to come down.

That’ll take time. In the short term, I predict prices will go up.

How can you 'revoke' part of a law? Did they 'reinterpret' it or something along those lines?

It's just Chuck once again being inelegant in his language. The NFA and the NFRTR are still very much part of the law, but the ATF is bound by a court decision to not enforce certain aspects of the NFA for a certain group of individuals. The ATF has since (finally) come out saying they will apply the decision to all non-prohibited persons, not just the group of individuals.

I was speaking of mil/le discounts, or certain manufacturer incentives. That's why I said, "Who pays MSRP/MAP?" to an audience of current or future veterans.

Essentially yes.

Thanks. I'm interest in getting a suppressor but the cost is a deterrent right now, maybe a gift later this year or next.
