Sounds illegal. Even if it didn't do this 'wet work' you're describing, perhaps it could do something less physically destructive but just as illegal if a person were doing it, like finding insider information on which to base a trade. I wonder who would be held responsible, you as the AI's client, the AI itself, the company that made the AI, or all of the above?I've been thinking about asking an AI to earn me a billion dollars in the market, I figure it just needs to invest in battery cars, use cyber-hacking of the automation in fossil fuel car factories to cause the robots and machine tools to all destroy themselves, and reap the windfall. But that's just me. I expect it would have a better idea.
