No way they overshot their allotted slots already…FY 27 is October 2026 - September 2027, does that mean they are not going to select anyone (including ISELs) until next October? That doesn't seem right..

If you're recruiting out of one of the NTAGs in California, particularly Golden Gate, there are anecdotes of them shutting down certain designators once they hit their quota so they can focus on filling more “on-demand” programs. Two different recruiters I’ve spoken to
Interestingly, I was told to not even bother getting my package together for the November board, despite qualifying for ISEL. At this point, I'm going to just ride it out, stay patient, and wait for more infoI think everyone is getting too far into the weeds here. On the Navy Recruiting Command Sharepoint, for a brief moment, they had the draft write up for the selection boards for the rest of the year, and it said the November board was only open for I-SEL and BDCP for pilot specifically. So anyone who didn’t qualify for those two shouldn’t even bother putting in a package. The official update to the board schedule will probably be posted here in the next few months, letting everyone know officially.
There have been ones that have done this in the past, you would have people in one area being told they had to wait until next year while a person in another area with the same background is applying and being selected all because of a self imposed restriction. If you're recruiting out of one of the NTAGs in California, particularly Golden Gate, there are anecdotes of them shutting down certain designators once they hit their quota so they can focus on filling more “on-demand” programs.
I'm sure they'll update the board schedule in the near future alongside the board focus/notes section to give you guys a better idea of what's going.
If there is a restriction and if they do accept ISEL you can go to an officer recruiter in another state that will submit your application.Interestingly, I was told to not even bother getting my package together for the November board, despite qualifying for ISEL.
