damn wtfLess than 48 hours from checking into OCS, and I still don’t have orders lol
I did receive my FINSEL though. Anybody know when the first NEX run happens, or what the rest of the day after check in entails?

If you got travel orders I would think you’re fine. Maybe only AD get actual orders?Less than 48 hours from checking into OCS, and I still don’t have orders lol

TACAMO draft is real, but like you say very irregular. The manning is a pretty high priority so they absolutely will find someone that week, but oftentimes someone who has it in their top three. For example I had a slightly higher NSS than someone else in my class and we both had P8 number 1, but since I put down E6 number 2 I got TACAMO and she got P8s, which goes against the common understanding of NSS being a full rack and stack against fleet required airframes. It's hard to give an exact number bc the selection every week is based on what CNATRA needs at that point in time. The week I selected, there were maybe 2 maritime slots available across TW-4 and TW-5 and I just happened to be one of the guys who selected; funny enough, my current roommate was the other one who selected maritime that week. Other weeks, there could be a bunch available and anyone with decent enough grades can get it
I'd say it's somewhat competitive to get picked up for maritime. Most people who get a 50 NSS or higher are studs who want the strike pipeline or something adjacent. Statistically speaking, most people who don't meet that tail hook grade requirement will end up getting rotary, so it's more or less a fight to get anything else. TACAMO and COD are particularly difficult to get, not because people are fighting over the spots, but because there are so few of them that replacing those spots happens pretty much randomly; people know about the helo draft, but there is also a good chance that people can get TACAMO drafted if a slot is available but no one has it on their list (I had a friend that this happened to)
Edit: COD also has very random selection. When I was going thru primary, that whole pipeline was closed off for selection for a couple months before they re-opened it right before I finished. When I was in advanced, I think I maybe knew less than 10 COD studs
Damn.Hi everyone. I submitted my SF-86 back in March with no drug use reported. Since then, against my better judgment, I've used marijuana a few times, completely legal under state law and only as a civilian, but haven't since receiving my slot in July. How bad is this, and is it possible to update my SF-86? Want to address it directly now rather than have it come back to bite me later. Thanks.
That bad? Also keep in mind it was true when I reported no drug use.Damn.
Good luck my man! Finally headed towards OCS! Hopping from Philly to Providence soon, interested to see what checking in at nearly 3am for school looks like - I’m really hoping Sunday isn’t horrible.
Well, you will need to disclose to your recruiter as what you put on your SF-86 is no longer true, if you don't then when you have another security investigation I am sure it will get interesting.Hi everyone. Same class, Let’s gooooo. Did you join the GroupMe already?Hey! I haven’t read this forum since page 200/ day of news. I’ve been reading all relevant forums for a year and a half or two years so I recognize a lot of y’all’s names, but only just got comment privileges. I received my board date a week or so after I was told I got accepted, I got January 24th. I appreciate how talkative y’all have been, even though I couldn’t interact, it’s been a relief knowing I wasn’t alone. Good to meet y’all thanks for the memes and words of encouragement. Fly Navy.
