Road to 350: What Does the US Navy Do Anyway?

It is literally legal to stand on the side of a lake and watch a family drive a mini van into the water and watch them all drown and do nothing to help them.
Yes, because our democracy decided that you don't get to personally override others' free will.

He’s not saying it should be a law. He’s giving an example proving that adherence to the law is not sufficient to count oneself as an ethical member of society.

To the original example, if it was revealed that the CNO let a van full of children die, would it be newsworthy? Do you think he should still be allowed to serve as CNO? He didn’t break the law…

Libertarians are just solopsists under the guise of an ideology.

Not when minimum wage is $17.00 / hr and rises every year.
When self checkouts became more prevalent I would still go to the cashiers, that was until the quality of cashiers started tanking, now I avoid if possible at places like Lowes, Home Depot, or various grocery stores I go to. The cashiers at those stores now are generally inept, incredibly slow and people I don't want to interact with.
Wrong. Minimum wage is $7.25/hr, and has been since 2009.
Federal yes, many states are higher typical in higher cost of living states, however even in those states that follow the Federal Minimum Wage if you are wanting decent halfway skilled workers the companies will be paying more.

He's the Associate Director for Shipbuilding Programs at OMB.
There are many like Jerry Hendrix: people who were summarily (and correctly) eschewed by reasonable, experienced, and credible professionals. Then this administration came into being, and it's all those folks who weren't accepted or were (justifiably) relegated to DIY think-tanks doing their best Eric Cartman impressions.

The interesting thing (at least to me) is how smart those folks purported themselves to be, how much scorn they had for everyone else who wasn't as enlightened as they were...Well, here's their chance, and they cant stop stepping on rakes. Anyone affixing their name and credibility to a backward slide toward steam, especially if it's going to delay delivery of hull numbers, should be professionally embarrassed, but self-awareness, introspection, and shame aren't really in their wheel house....

This is a particularly cringe-worthy exchange on Twitter that illustrates your point. Jerry got a bad case of the vapors because someone on Twitter referred to his boss as "Russ."
