DCO Supply Chances and Selections

I was reading back in this thread and saw how 50 were selected at the end of FY24. It's hard not to feel discouraged with how tight selections have been the last few boards, especially as someone who is currently enlisted. I really hope things start to look better!
 
Submitted a packet for the first time for this upcoming board. I am 40 years old, male, MBA, no prior service, work in corporate (not supply) with previous roles in government (legislative), currently volunteer with a 501c3, plenty of leadership experience.

Looks like the number of available slots and my age are very much not in my favor, not to mention the stiff competition! However I still have my fingers crossed.

One of the bad results of being "Fully Manned" in the reserves seems to be the impact on accession opportunities.
Total force requirement numbers have not changed much from last Few FYs.

The biggest hits are DCO, but even AC to RC took a hit for all designators. Some designators took small hits, while other took 50, 60 or even 100% reductions.

I've been around awhile, saw the massive Post cold war reductions right after Desert Storm, as well as PTS and one thing seems to always happen!
Reductions lead to future opportunities.

The timeline I was told was board met and made decisions last week. It goes of for another review/approval and decisions should come out 2-3 weeks after. So expect to hear something mid-September, but as always things can change.

Yea its changed alot the quotas were a bit higher then. I got picked up in that groups the caveat being there was one board that year and it was for FY24 & FY25. It ebbs and flows so dont get discouraged.
