Highly recommend calling the POCs for any billet in RFMT. The advertised job may not match the actual work.
TACRON is obviously a punishment for not taking your JO tours seriously, so what we suggesting here?

Aside from being driven absolutely bugshit by the "TACRon" formatting over and over (thanks USNI style guide, I guess), the TL;DR is to establish a VTC-related career path to retain corporate knowledge, and code it from OP-T to OP at the DH/CO levels.

Welcome back after a 10 year hiatus.
Rereading this thread three years later after I became a TACRON type. No great solution to make TACRON great unfortunately and the current construct is probably the best we’re going to get. Better resources for training during the home cycle a better use of effort. Because retention sucks so bad basically all of our OP-T DHs are making O5 and the front offices will definitely make O6, probably on the first look. As for me I’m not going to be a 1320 in 7 weeks so I’m just shrugging my shoulders.
10 years later, TACRON still sucks. As an old AW member & aviator once said, "The more things change, the more they stay the same..."
